How I stop selling my vote.

By Ifeanyichukwu Sanctify

I started voting in February 6 2010 in Anambra State governorship election. Now senator, Ifeanyi Ubah was patrolling the whole voting centers in Nnewi sharing money and buying votes for APGA.

In 2011 general election that produced GEJ after completing his boss Yaradua's tenure. In that election we have a popular candidates in Nnewi known as Ikechuchukwu Obiora and Mmaduchi who only come during the election to share money and buying votes, so they can return as Senate and House of Representatives.

Voting in an election is just like a day business for the common man, as we always negotiate prices in the polling center before voting. In 2013 Anambra State governorship election the same thing continues. They always tell us if they give you money collect it and vote for us, I decided to be collecting from my party PDP but still not comfortable with it.

In 2015 general election, because of the tension between the north and south and Yoruba alliance with the north against South East and South South, I decided never to collect money from any politician during election period.

When you begin to see election as enthroning good leadership and Representatives you will never sell your vote to any body.

A good leader convince electorate while bad leaders buy votes on election day.

Stop selling your vote to get a good candidate that will represent us all.
